Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. It led to the state government imposing more stringent rules in these instances. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year award for the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's covered the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
